5 year comparison of costs Tesla Model 3 (Std range) $30,032 Toyota Camry SE $35,308 Toyota Camry XLE $38,378 Toyota Camry XSE $39,993 BMW 330i xDrive $49,292 Audi A4 Premium $45,260 Honda Accord LX $30,792 Honda Accord EX $33,942
Maybe people do the numbers and find out it makes financial sense for them to buy a Tesla?

Maybe people do the numbers and find out it makes financial sense for them to buy a Tesla? Maybe, but that has nothing to do with the stock price.

Maybe people do the numbers and find out it makes financial sense for them to buy a Tesla? Do those numbers reflect the purchase price, registration and insurance? The base accord is almost $11,000 less than the base Tesla. So Tesla is $65,000 after 5 years including the car Accord is $55,000 after 5 years including the car Take into account most states registration and insurance go up with the value of the vehicle. In AZ 10K less of car could save you $150.00 on registration. So if you do the numbers it would make more financial sense to get the Honda. Also the Honda can be serviced any where, be fueled anywhere, go for 300,000 miles and not to mention when the batteries need replaced in that Tesla it'll set you back upwards of $16,000.

People have valued them differently because they are caught up in the hype and romance of a high tech car company that’s going to save the world. It’s emotional not logical. It’s similar to the dot com bubble when people were buying yahoo and aol. Musk is the current PT Barnum. Ding ding ding!!! exactly like i said, it is valued as a tech company!!!!

Comparison was done by cleantechnica.com. You can review their articles to find out the specifics. One can always pick and choose their way to find an exception. The point is the Tesla Model 3 is a good value and that is why many people buy it, not that they're "hipsters".

This sh*t makes me laugh. So many people think buying a Tesla has to be a political statement or must be a "hipster". I will tell you, be careful who you stereo type. You never know until you know.
I have owned a Model 3 for well over a year now, and I love this car. The tech, the sound system, the comfort, the speed ( I have smoked a Corvette's), the safety. Oh and I don't have to go to the gas station anymore. If it helps the environment, Cool. If it doesn't, sorry. I just like the car.
I have a crooked nose, bad shoulders and knees, missing front tooth, cauliflower ear because I love training MMA. I will fight at the drop of a hat. I buy my pork and beef in bulk, I own an f-150 that I love when needed, Wear work pants and t-shirts everywhere. I know plenty of other Model 3 owners that are similar to me. But Tesla owners a hipster, liberal, tree huggers. Probably most, but that might be changing. Time will tell.
When I bought my car everyone was saying Tesla was going out of business and that Elon was crashing the company. Now, it is, well they are valued too high from their stock price. How about just stay in your lane and stop hating and enjoy it for what it is worth. Fun, techie car, that has potential of changing an industry for the better....hopefully. So many opinions with only random internet articles to back up something you know nothing about. But I read.....blah, blah, blah. Just be quiet.
Peace Out!

LOL Elon hates short sellers and did the best thing he could have - hammered them hard in the pocketbook to the tune of $12.4B. Kudos

But what’s interesting is just about all of the managers NPR talked to, they were still shorting Tesla or planning to short it. They are t saying the company will go under. They are just saying that the stock price is over valued and will eventually correct

What got corrected was the pocket books of the "experts".
