Well, I'm in the process of thinking about all of that stuff!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Well, we recently remodeled our house & i wired all three rroms with distributed HDMI via Sn@p's Matrix with a simple 5.2 setup in living room with a 65" over fireplace with a central rack. We moved in October & this is still what it looks like

Here's my 65" finally got it mounted cause the wife complained about watching TV in bed to much. Otherwise it would still be at Av@d.
LOL

Here's what the bedrooms look like until i hang the TVs.

Here's my soon to be rack (we have to reach over the couch to change channels until i program our remote. Controlling volume via CEC & ARC on Samsung *How come it works on my house but never my customers?*) Yep that's my PowerLink plugged directly into the outlet. No surge protection untill i get my Rack installed. I hope there's no Surges!!!!

Knowing that Gold went up a few K makes me think "well now I have to do a better job on selling more equipment".

I bet a few of you out there have emitters with electrical tape over them... .

I'm changing mine to duck tape. That way if anyone asks, I can honestly say "no electrical tape on MY equipment."....

I would have no desire to do this for a living if I couldn't max my own house out. That would be like being a master chef and not being able to ever eat what you can whoop up! Crazy to me.

Theres more in my house and any job we have ever done, lol. Or damn close to it. I don't get y'all!

Current system
Crestron cp3
While house hard wired lighting
Crestron tstat with remote temp sensor
8 zones of distributed audio
4 zones of HDMI
Crestron door lock
Garage integration
6 cameras
Monitor audio platinum in walls
Mixture of everything else for distributed audio speakers

Now the issue is only 45% of that is connected and or usable.

I decked my house out but just don't have the time to perfect it. Putting in my new pre/pro after this coffee.

You should be proud of me.
I got my Russound system on Friday, and that night because I couldn't sleep, I went to my rack (about 0030) and pulled out the old Sphere, dead SMS3.1  and replaced it with two K2-C5 kits and DMS-3.1. I was done about 0730, just in time to show my wife how to use it.

Now for some disclaimers.
1. No wire management... yet
2. Only two keypads wired
3. Not all the speakers connected
4. I didn't want to go to the truck to get the RCA cables to run between two units, so only 1 source works on second unit.

But at least I named all the rooms in the software so that I could use the MyRussound droid app. Showed my wife how to use Pandora on HerMusic stream thru the app.

Boom shakalaka! I got my internets wire ran to my desktop computer! It is completely hidden under the baseboard. Stealthy indeed. So I did a speed test with the wifi before I hooked it up. This is on a new Mac Mini connected to an Airport extreme N across the room 15 feet away. I copied AC/DC's "Back in Black" album in FLAC (316.5MB) from my NAS to the Mac. On Wifi, it took 1m 27s. On gigabit ethernet, it took 5s. Winning!

I even put the boots on the RJ45. Like a pro!

Never. It took me 5 years to hide the gear & hang a flat screen with a 5.1.
Closet is a mess from trying different gear.
Have some real nice speakers B&W 705 fronts, but the Denon AVR 2212 do not make them sound good.

I answered no but I should have qualified it more. I have two jobs and my kids are very involved in gymnastics and triathlon. My main hobbies are hanging with the wife and kids, triathlon/marathon, and model trains. So I don't have a lot of time left after all of that. If there is something I need fix on the system, I find the time... Which can take a while. If it's really that important to us we find the time.
