Ernie,

You can get paintable silicone caulking anywhere. What I like is that since its small holes I can usually match the surrounding texture, no mudding.

You wondered if I would notice. I noticed.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I think you win by default for shaming that BGR rack that way. It's like taking a Rolls Royce and giving it a $5 Home Depot spray can paint job.

I don't think I've touched my stuff at home for at least 3 years and it's been 5+ years since anything significant was done.

Just ordered a bunch of Lutron stuff so will have to make some time soon.

I've been talking about installing a RA2 system in the house for a year now, moving out the classic RA and if RTI will ever release the XP-4, integrate all together....

Like I said, I been talking about doing that. The dang RA2 dimmers are sitting there on the table since the breaker panel is too far away to walk too...lol

If my customers saw my personal system....I'd starve to death. :)

Yup
My wife says I can't do sarcasm. She says I just sound like an a$$hole.

A non expense paid non-vacation to my house to fix all my shit.

You will not be allowed out of the theater room (which is bare walls and no carpet, but it does have few old couches) until that room is done.

In case you finish before the end of the year, your next task will be to fix my main rack, and label all of 537 wires.
You better lose some weight as you will be sleeping in that automation closet which is only about 4x5.

Sadly enough my house is the most advanced, most expensive project I have ever worked on.

Plus if they f*^k anything up it's not in a client's house and a reason to replace old junk with new while taking tax deductions.

I have enough stuff to pretty much revamp my system and it's all sitting in boxes. I'm still using my 7 year old AVR3806 with only 2 hdmi inputs and 2 wire baluns that lose sync every time the TV turns on.

New in box and ready for install I have:

Crestron MC3
Crestron MLX3
Crestron EX Lighting
Crestron 4 Shades - 1 motorized
Totem Tribe Double 8 In-wall subs (x2) with amp
Marantz AV7701
Parasound Halo A51
TiVo Stream
HDBaseT Baluns
APC UPS/Conditioner (some newer model that I won worth around $400)
Wirepath CCTV setup
Some Security Stuff

To Be fair, I have to run new wires for the in-wall subs, cameras and security.

I ran a bunch of wires recently to clean up my network and get my WAP properly placed, but it all still needs trimmed out.

The newest addition was the A51 and Totem Subs, of which is really giving me the drive to go through and upgrade everything and rewire my rack. I've had some of this for at least a year.

I'm really hoping to get some of this going this weekend :rolleyes
do wino hue?

My Av7701 comes today :)

I will have my new system(s) up and running by Monday. That was the deal I struck with my wife and programmer.

I let me wife read this thread by the way. Now if my 3 year old could only read she would know she is not alone.

I'm in the process of:
- Cleaning out my office supply/stationary closet
- Stripping down my Slim5, then cut down its height
- Re-route cables behind wall inside closet

** Thinking bout adding 10-12 Cat6 runs for future camera system (don't flame on me for using Cat6. Stopped using Cat5e about 4 yrs ago.)

I'm sticking with Denon AVR-4520. This piece was connected to 3 TVs and I do not see any other AVR has this capability. May be the separate Marantz piece.

With a couple hors per night and the helps of my 3 yrs old daughter. I hope it will be done by Spring Break.
