Yeah, would you mind telling us what the problem is? Okay, it's organized crime, that's bad. Does that mean they are going to try to sell me something? Attack Mr. Stanley? How much do they charge for that? (Just kidding, Mr. Stanley.)

I mean, what do they do that is an area of life where I might run across them? Install? Sell equipment? Sell tires? Encyclopedias?

It's nice of you to warn us about problem companies, but it would be nice to have some idea what they do* before I run into them!

*or what they say they will do before ripping you off
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Well if you look closer you will see that they are selling several protected lines at prices that are way to low

The point is this

They are advertising products that were never supposed to me marketed on line, they are being sold at suspiciously low prices, the very same company shares and address with numerous other businesses some of which are been prosecuted or are under investigation for fraud

All of these businesses and more are at the same exact address with the same exact phone numbers

I think this is simply a reincarnation of the iwhore that AVAD stopped selling to a long time ago.

[Link: garrett-smarthome.com]

It sucks that they exist and in these tough times they are going to show up on the radar screens of increasingly price conscious clients. I just dealt with Amazon having a Blu-ray for $45.00 less than I could buy it at AVAD for. The advice of "system pricing" won't hold here as its an existing client looking for the latest thing in his theater.

With RTI though, I've run into the previous guy when he did have a few unauthorized pieces for sale and my response was... "who's going to program it for you? I certainly won't... the only way my company will support your control system is if we supply and program it".

I know its been said thousands of times here but those scouring "audiophile liquidator" are not our clients.

I have been look through the data a bit more and it apears that
Whois Protector

PMB 368, 14150 NE 20th St - F1
Bellevue, WA 98007
US

Is the legitimate owner of this address, and they are merely the insulating front for hundreds of registered sites that want to remain anonymous,

Even though Whois as far as I know is a legitimate part of the web industry, there are scores of complaints and investigations in the works against most all of the companys using this service. Notwithstanding www.audiophileliquidator.net claims to be as the name implies a liquidator, however they are advertising dozens of products that have not even made it to market yet. They have advertised with prices shown for:

Atlantic Technology

B&K

Boston Acoustics

Elan Accessories

Elan Speakers

Elan

Infinity

Klipsch Reference

Klipsch

NAD

PSB

RBH

Sonance Architectural Access.

Sonance Architectural Speakers

Sonance Visual Performance

Sonance

Speakercraft

RTI

Yamaha

Earthquake sound

Triad

Sunfire

Velodyne

Polk

Tanoy

Snell

NHT

Denon

Parasound

Onkyo

Energy

Monitor Audio

Canton

And on and on
