Yeah, it's funny... I just ran across this site last week when I was Googling up some info on NAD...
They are right in our back yard... Maybe RHM9, Eastside, Yourself and I, could go pay them a visit!

RTI Inst...

If they are anything like the other iwhore... they don't even have any of the gear or access to it. What it looks like they have is price sheets from most of the local disty's and they are just trying to screw things up.

Note how they claim that the stuff is from someone who went out of business... who the heck could that be?

Let's go sulphur bomb their offices!

Default Audiophile Liquidators
Good day all,

Just wanted you all to know that Audiophile liquidator is trouble.

The address they list as corporate HQ is a parking garage.

They are not an authorised dealer for any items they sell.

They have the entire Tannoy line listed, and won't be able to supply it.

So, I don't think it is a good idea to give them your credit card.

Buy from your local dealers, you will be much happier in the long run.

Cheers,

Ben

Even after reading the Audioholics forum regarding Audiophile Liquidators, i took a chance anyway and ordered a Marantz PM 7001. All I was looking for was a high quality 2 channel stereo amp/preamp combo to power some Klipsch passive monitors in my studio. The price seemed to be to good to be true, and it was. I ordered the item a week ago, and the only confirmation I got was that they had charged my credit card. When I sent them an email inquiring about my order, I got info on someone else's item (Wrong customer, wrong item). I tried calling them for two hours, but got an answer machine or a busy signal. I finally sent them an email requesting that they cancel my order, and, oh look, a miracle! I got an email telling me the phones worked just fine now. When I finally did get someone on the phone, I gave them a chance to make it right by updating me on my order. They could not tell me if the item was in stock or if, or when, it would ship. When I asked to speak to the manager in charge of refunds, they hung up on me. FYI - "Valley Village, CA", their listed address, is not a town in California. It is either a condo or a trailer park in the valley in LA.

Do yourself a favor. Buy from a reputable company that actually has the products they advertise and actually knows when (and if!) they will ship. I wouldn't wish this company on my worse enemy!

Ben, you are so right on! Audiophile Liquidators is real close to fraudulent. I warned them that internet fraud is both a California felony and a Federal crime. I demanded a reversal of my credit card transaction, when, after a week, they had no idea where my order was. I called my Visa card, and put a block on any internet transactions as well as filed a dispute. They won't get my money, and they sure won't get my business!

If selling products at low prices sometimes lower then cost is a crime how do Worst Buy and Circus City get away with it?

Anytime I ever have a customer bring up buying something from the net I always tell them to try contacting the site and pretending they are a customer who has a problem with one of their products. I have no problem matching prices from the net as long as the customer doesn't mind if I match the service as well.

You want to pay 10 points over cost. Sure let me throw it in your trunk and good luck. If you have a question setting it up or a problem with the product there should be a 1-800 number somewhere in the owners manual. Feel free to call or email me and get the run around unless it's about buying something else. Thanks and have a good day.

I like it! I will remember that quote for my off the cuff remark to the few that like to waste my time.

My brother in law just picked up a 46" LCD at BB for 15 bucks below my cost + tax of course and then asked me what my cost on it would be. I haven't replied yet but I'm going to tell him half of what he paid just out of spite :-) Oh well some people will never learn.

Sorry kinda OT:

My ex-GF and her new hubby went out last weekend to C*stco and bought a 50' Plasma. Of course they purchased a Panel, wall bracket, HDMI cord, and power conditioner too...of which I would have been happy to supply.

So she called me, to come over for dinner, is really upbeat and friendly... asks me how I'm doing, how is my son doing, and all that happy stuff, then proceeds to say: "and maybe you could help Brett (not his real name) install the thing on the wall so no wires would show!

I told her, no, but thanks for the offer!

You could have heard a pin drop.

The crime isn't selling products at below cost, it is baiting customers with 'too good to be true' prices and having no intention of delivering them once paid for.

The big box stores are big enough to lose a few bucks on one product, to then make good margins on 'add-on' products when the customers come in

Our Local Speakercraft Rep drove to the bellevue address given and it is a Dentist office. He even sent me a Picture! He also called them and told them he needed some speakers for the weekend and could he come pick them up. They said yes but that they are in San Francisco. So no bombing RHM9
