I just spoke to my Sonos & Monitor Audio rep and he flat out said that the OP's website complaint is valid. It is a SCAM website. The problem with getting them shut down is that the website is ran offshore.

remotecentral is an international forum. Off which shore? Better yet, instead of listing all the shores they're off, where are they?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Has anyone received had a order actually fulfilled with them?

They could be buying rejects from the original factories in China?

I see you've only made 10 posts... So at least 10% of your posts right now are pretty worthless. Did you read this posting? If you had, you would find references in the text to it being 4 years old! Do you really think a thread that is years old, with references to people going through shenanigans to cancel orders is likely a good website?

I see that you fall into the 10% category of Dip$hits that occupy most forums. The reason why I asked if anyone had actually received a product is because products contain serial numbers. So with a serial number in hand the manufacturer of the product "may" be able to track where the product originated.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Guys, where are your manners?

This is the first time I've seen this thread and the original links are still valid.

I, for one, am interested in it especially since Proficient wants to do a Webinar with us for manufacturers on how to protect against this crap.

And no answers on a 4 year old thread... imagine that! You really think they fulfill any product? Companies like this subsist on people who are too lazy to cancel the charge from their credit card.

If you keep checking on us here, you'll find that 90% of us fall into pretty much the same category as bcf1963. That means you're not in our class -- as you imply by that comment. Maybe you'll be happier if you just go somewhere else. I sure hope so.

What, nowhere else to play? Then how about playing nice? I've skewered people verbally here, and I sometimes apologize for it, but it's been after giving help and explanation and clarification, advancing all of us. Give to this site before you come here and take shots at people. Get to know the value of contributors like bcf1963 and you'll swallow your tongue* before you make another comment like that about him.

AVSOLUTIONSNC,

I was a bit harsh in my original posting... I apoligise for the tone, but I stand by the intent.

The website is far from reputable. I think if you are really interested in doing some sort of sting or analysis, that you don't have much chance of success, as you didn't even bother to google the company name. The internet is littered with comments by people of their shady business practices, so I don't understand why it was necessary to resurrect a 4 year old thread to determine this. So, apparently those of us who know how to use a search engine are "the 10% category of Dip$hits that occupy most forums."

lol you're all dipshits (and now I am too). He was posting in a thread that was recently active and last replied to on April 4 2012. There were several posts; that's hardly resurrecting a 4 year old thread. Have you never posted in a thread that is a month and a half old? Dare I check and call you out? Hell, Bruce replied in 2008 that they are right up the street from him, then in April 2012 he proclaimed they are....right up the street from him!!! What's more dipshit-like? That kind of posting, AVSOLUTIONSNC positing in a 1.5 month old thread, Ernie wanting to know which shore is considered off-shore or you getting all bent the post was made in the first place?

A reason, that I did not point out, that you are also in that category is that you did what a lot of newbies here do: you didn't notice that the thread was really old. In your case it's a double whammy -- if you go back to Post 31, you'll see that an absolute noob, who has to this date only made ONE post, resurrected this thread.

I sometimes welcome new folks to the site, then point out to them that a lot of newbies make the mistake of adding a post to an essentially obsolete thread. Then we oldies come along, don't notice it's an old thing, and eventually get pissed off when we realize we've let ourselves get dragged into a conversation that is likely irrelevant. We want to help people, and old threads rarely do that, so we're basically wasting our time.

This case is a bit different because the scam company is actually still around.

The reason why I asked if anyone had actually received a product is because products contain serial numbers. So with a serial number in hand the manufacturer of the product "may" be able to track where the product originated.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Yes. "Is there anything else I can help you with?" Really? You can help us by helping yourself by ditching the attitude. If you stay with it, nobody will want to help you when finally you have a real question where the answer might get your ass out of a jam. That's when you'll need some information and you'll get sarcasm. And you'll have earned it.

I earn all the sarcasm I get, so I know it'll happen. Be sure you earn some good, too.
