Naw, he would never be caught dead in the Starbucks I visited

I don't know why not, that area is the most over the top left wing liberal bunch of anti-establisment confused people that think they have problems I have ever seen in my life.

It is depressing that this is the future of our country.

By the way I work a couple of blocks from there and it is indeed an awesome Biznucks.

Where I work our clientele is 99% the 1% crowd so it makes for an interesting dynamic every day.

Every march or protest, whatever the flavor of the day is, goes right by our place.

Thank goodness I only work in Seattle and drive 45 miles out of it every night.

Politics (ridiculous) and my own values aside it is and awesome town with ridiculous amounts of fantastic restaurants breweries and record stores, hell they even have a record store with a restaurant in it.

On the other side of the coin, their mayor invites the homeless to come live here and give them free needles and camp on the streets anywhere they want with absolutely no plans to provide housing, medical and or job placement. That's awesome.
He is trying right now to pass legislation to have all the public parks zoned for tent cities. We have a ginormous heroine problem.

So now you cant take your children to the local parks and let the play with out being worried about them being stuck.

I had to take a shower after watching that video. I could smell the pretense through the internet.

I'm sure that drive is dependent on the time of day and the route.

Our drive from SeaTac to Tacoma took about three hours on the i5.

Then when we left Tacoma and headed to Kennewick it was even worse.

Traffic is bad, and the drivers are freaking crazy!

Amen to that, no traffic its 45 minutes. My shift until this week has been non rush hour, still takes 1.5.
The drivers here are the worst, you would think after a hundred years or so of driving in the rain they would have it figured out, nope.
I just check google maps and if its shit, I just visit a local record store and get dinner and wind up home at the same time. less time on the road and more time enjoying life that way.

You should see the folks here when it snows . You'd think a few decades behind the wheel in new england winters would give you a little respect for diving in sich conditions. Unfortunately, thats not the case

We left Tacoma around 8pm, drove to Auburn to drop off the rental car, then ran 18 over to I90 and on to Kennewick.

No sooner than we left Auburn it started pouring. Very heavy traffic that apparently had somewhere to be in a hurry, I have wipers that suck, and it's pitch black.

NOT a pleasant drive.....

Was going through some old photos and found this, sometime around 1989. Center console that I built in shop class, with my music from the day.

A little hard to see but my pride and joy cassette deck from the day. A Pioneer KEH-8020, in my opinion, one of the best car stereo cassette decks every made. It had auto reverse, blank skip, and multi mode music search, if you wanted to skip forward five songs you could. I paid over $400 for this in 1988.Considering I only paid $1800 for the car it was in, that was a lot of money!

The New Yorker has a cassette, and I actually still have some old cassettes in a closet somewhere.

I'll need to dig them out and see if they still work.

Maybe as I work my way backwards, I'll get a car with a 8 track... :-)

Trying to fix a system that homeowner says has never been right. Yamaha RX-A1040, DirecTV, Blu-ray, Apple TV. Snap HDMI switch! Harmony remote. Hot cabinet. Lots of room for improvement.

What part of "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." do you not understand?

Had a family gathering of the "oldies" today. The youngest of which is 86.

It's fun being a fly on the wall. Listening to their stories and repeated memories from the past.

Want a "real" education? Go visit a nursing home and seek out someone that wants to talk. That person gets some company, and you learn some new things....

Sorry for your loss. In my family half die in their mid 50's and the other half die in their 100's. I sure hope i am on team 100+. My biggest hope is that consumers/average joes can travel to mars in my life time. I know its just a dead rock but its on my bucket list.

Cher wants to go to Venus. You could tag along… Would that be just as good as Mars?
