Did some wheeling and dealing... Sold the GTC for $3,500.00, then went to look at another old Chrysler. ][IMG] [/IMG] Bought for $2,700.00 (really a bit too much, but...) out of an estate. Has 36,787 miles on it. A couple very minor flaws in that one rear power window won't work, and small trim piece is missing off the other. It's like new otherwise. Everything works, AC is ice cold, tires are new. Damn, you are old. Only old, feeble men buy those

Updated a system that a moonlighter put in last November. Living room surround sound, three rooms of distributed audio plus a Yamaha music cast play bar in the kitchen.
The moonlighter used two Yamaha receivers, including their surround modes and zone 2's to enable all the different zones of audio. I think the patio had surround sound on the second receiver as its audio feed.
The living room had an MX450, and it had two main pages with every device in the house, including the kitchen television and the master bedroom television. There was not a macro to be found anywhere. The client had spent a whole ton of money on something that was practically impossible to use.
I pulled out the second Yamaha receiver, dedicated the first one to just the living room, and added Sonos in the other zones, plus a play bar in the kitchen. A better, fully programmed remote in the living room, and they are all smiles.

Just curious, why didn't you add Music Cast devices rather than Sonos, since they already had at least 1 Music Cast device already

Made a service call today.
Guy told he couldn't get the cable box DVR to record or playback anything.
I get there, look at the box and tell him:
"You really do need to have a DVR to record programs. It just doesn't work very well when you don't."
There was laughter involved.

There was laughter involved. Cablevision does not require a DVR to record with their whole house service. No recording device on site.

Had to go to the app to choose an HDMI input for the kitchen TV amongst a cluttered choice of options. I thought, and it proved out, that Sonos would be a dead easy experience.

The app also lets you edit sources so you can remove sources that are not used.

Client went to pick up the stuff sometime in the afternoon, and I'll go by to program his remote Monday morning. It was actually funny when I pointed out just because the TWC remote has a record/list button, doesn't mean it will do those things. Guy just couldn't believe he was given a remote with buttons that didn't do anything.
