I'm not a fan of diamonds because of where they come from. I'm also not a fan of spending so much on something that has so little use/value. The money people spend on weddings is even crazier. I would rather spend the $20-50k on a car or a condo in Puerto Rico.

So was walking around an open air mall by my self (trying to find a birthday gift for her) and there was a super high end jewler that had a sign in their window saying "we're independently owned and operated" right below that they had "HOF" now in our showroom!
So I walked in, asked the jewler if they had "x" ring and said I was actually going to head over to HOF later tonight to order, but if you can give me a better price then I'll just order from you! He said "well I can't mark down HOF however I can give you x amount towards the band, so with some back and forth I got $1250 off the band which only makes it $250 bucks....soo all in all I now have a local jewler, and I feel really good about the purchase and who I bought it from!
Sooo I ordered it!!
Ohh and I also moved into my house!! :D

Ha! guess it kind of does, But there is a major difference...Its true! :P
The other thing is this jewler wasn't on HOF dealer finder yet, so I had no idea, was just kind of luck!
Now if I had said I had found it after I got my ass kicked by some democrats watching the debate tonight with my "insert favorite republican candidate" sticker....then it is very stanly haha!

I had meant to post this yesterday, but was distracted. After a week of busting my ass getting the pieces in place to open shop, I took a much needed break from reality.
I loaded up my new (to me) Dagger mamba, met some friends and took off for Second Creek in scenic Greenbrier county, WV. I've been really scaling down the difficulty of what I paddle while my shoulder heals, so we did this mild little class 2 creek versus something difficult and challenging. But the scenery more than made up for it.
I had a little learning curve with the new boat, and found myself trying to manhandle it like my last boat needed, which had me all over the place for the first half of the day.
Lord loves a workin' man; don't trust whitey; see a doctor and get rid of it.
Looks like a great time on the river! The mamba would be very new to me. I still use my old boats: winter/spring boat: Perception Pirouette S Summer boat: Prijon Twister. My camping or need to carry gear canoe for WW: Mohawk Viper 12 14' foot fiberglass canoe for non WW.
Can't beat a good day on the water no matter what your paddling!
That was cute. I wish my analytical mind would think of stuff like that. I can't even remember to take a picture of anything other than work related crap.
