Stopped by the BMW dealership inbetween appointments trying to pick out which color I should order my new 2 series in. Yas Marino Blue or Estorial Blue, there is also Monte Carlo blue but I think it's too reserved for the 2 series.
If I go Yas Marino it will be a individual program and costs me a bit more, but it would be one unique 2er...
Decisions Decisions [Link: colorhunter.com]btw, if you cant at least get to a 3 series, dont bother. The 2 series is like when Cadillac tried to bring out the Catera

Having owned a 335 and driven a 135 (2 series) I'm half tempted to go that route. If you want a rocket ship, you can't go wrong there :)

The 335 with the twin spool turbo was a sleeper of a vehicle.

Its now a grocery getter rather then a drivers car. the 2 series is actually the size of the old 3 series believe it or not. 2 series is an enthusiasts/drivers car, my dad has a 228i and its just a stupid fun car. im going with the 235i (possibly) Test drove it today and OMG is it fast. I just cant justify the M2 anymore considering how epic the 235i is.

M3 or up....
My favorite of the Beemers I've owned was an old 735il which was loaded with every option you could get (even had rear power seats).
It was without a doubt the best ever, and I've had a 328e (300K+ miles), a 635i (200K+ miles, the 735il (200K+ miles) and a 745il (200K+ miles as well).

3 Pedal: I've had my EBII M235i for a few weeks now and I seriously can't recommend the car enough. I think it'll be the perfect car for you. Two things I think are a must have on their: 1. 3 Pedals 2. Limited Slip Diff. They make a world's difference. My boss drives and M6 and even he says the only other car that he finds even close to being as fun as his M6 is the M235i. I ended up ordering the car, took about 2 months to get here, but definitely worth the wait to get the specs I wanted. Its an enthusiast car and it is definitely made to drive on a track. I'll post a video of the "un-packaging" when I get a chance! Here she is next to the M6: I didn't think you all would be BMW fans!!! If you want to wait till next year, on a wait list, and pay over MSRP, wait for the M2. It will have some better features like: 1.DCT if you don't go manual (I'd question your man hood if you didn't get a manual;) ) 2. Perhaps a CF roof 3. Maybe 30-40 more HP and Torque 4. Maybe a slightly better interior/nicer seats. I couldn't wait for the M2 due to my lease timing but I definitely would get an M2 or an M4 as my next car in 3 years. The drive is totally different between the two. Go to a dealership and test drive the M4 and you will see it is made for a completely different drive. You can't compare the two and say go get the 4. It is honestly comparing apples to oranges because the cars are made for completely different purposes. The M235i can take an M4 on the track. The M2 SURELY will. Either way, enjoy the purchasing and test driving process and the excitement it brings! Also, If you're into drifting, check out Chris Haris' video of drifting in the M235i. His car is very similar to mine, same color, has the LSD, and it is of course manual!

Picked up my car from the dealer. Had a Dinan tune installed. This is fun, and dangerous, and a slippery slope.
I blame my customers, been for rides in some crazy fast cars recently. This isn't good. Which car did you end up getting, I've been out of the loop. I'm looking into doing a tune as well but I'm still trying to get used to all the power my car has already, having come from a relatively weaker 328i.

BMW = "Break my window". Back when I sold car audio, the hot commodity was the Becker head units from Germany. We had two or three a week come in with stolen decks.

Talk about Ancient Times. Nobody wants any Car Audio gear anymore- Just a USB input for Cell Phone input is all they want and/or need.

It used selling price with over 20k miles is actually worth more than the original MSRP of the car now. It was labeled as the last enthusiast car until the M235i came out and it is still one of the most respect cars among real BMW enthusiasts!
