Wow she's getting big

Decided to lease a new sales car this week. The company now has a little BMW in the fleet (of two vehicles).

I love this little car.

What did you get. I need to do the same. Thinking Explorer still. Need to be able to hit the disty every once and a while.

A little X1, gets 33 mpg on the highway, has a 240h twin turbo 4 cyl. And fun to drive, especially when going from an E250. I was at carmax and they had a nissan murano for $44k, which is a few thousand more than this stickered for.

Screw it, it's a business lease, at least I can drive something fun that can carry some boxes and reduce my tax reliability.

Jealous. Need to start selling C4 my damn self.

It ain't c4 money. Just a lot of work and have been driving the same pathfinder for the last 10 years.

Designed and co-sold my first commercial system today.
Nothing huge, 70v DA system with paging from phones, surveillance system with 12 cameras, Hang 3 panels with hdmi extenders and eventually spend a day with the direct tv guy making sure he respects the rack I am about to install.

Now I get to go install it.

We already installed finger print id entry throughout the building (TSS goes on in there) had fiber pulled to communicate between the buildings and installed phones and Network.

Pretty stoked about it and now you know why I was asking so many questions lately, Thanks All Yall for the responses it helped with decision making.

Nice project, finishing up a decent sized commercial job this / next week, I could do these more often

Last night at my downtown bus stop, there were some sketchy looking characters (as there usually are!). I caught the 8:00 bus home. There were a few messed up looking drug dealers hanging out... They offered to sell me some black tar heroin, but I politely thanked them and said uh, no thanks! Just about then my bus arrived, I climbed on happy to get away from those low-lifes.

Five minutes later, two people were shot there. Both in critical condition. Then a couple blocks away another got shot in front of my friend's condo... This is where I got held up and robbed about 3 weeks ago.

Nice! So... are you hanging up your car service manager shoes? Man, I'll bet that was a thankless job at times!

upper management, you don't sell enough, clients your ripping me off and selling too much and I want a free loaner car and my car better not be dirty when I pick it up, technicians your not selling enough, parts department cant get parts for days/weeks/months.

The topper 50% pay based on bullshit surveys that have nothing to do with me.

Never again will I let somebody cost me thousands a month due to their bad attitude or they didn't like the grounds keeping, or the coffee wasn't the right kind.

Never again will I work for a company that wants one level of service but will not provide the tools to give it, just stand there and scream at you.

But the good news is I am not bitter at all!

The best news is through Facebook an old client of mine from when I had my own shop found me and contacted me.

He knows of my disdain for messy things and knows my technical background as well as my wood working abilities.

He pays well, he listens and is all about making things better.

I had a blast today, boss brought me lunch so I could stay in my groove. He also brought me a helper to use and abuse, which helped out while on the scissor lift.
He made the hardware store runs,again to keep me in my groove.

Called the wife on the way home and told her it was a great day and I actually had fun at work.

Her response was, "You haven't said that in over 20 years"

True story!
