Yeah, I made the change also. It was scary, as it was a step backward---and financially, but I'd rather be making less $$$$ and be happy, than making bigger bucks and miserable!!!

Im in a slump. Making bunch of $$$ but pretty miserable at the same time. Need to learn how to balance work and personal time before I drive my self over a ledge im afraid ill never get off of.

First step is bitting the bullet, getting a second cellphone and shutting my damn phone off at 5. Just having a hard time paying the extra $$$ for it

Yeah well, money is great - but being happy and less stressed ain't bad! I've seen stress kill or shorten a lot of people's lives.

Find some type of forwarding service or something. I went private a year ago and life doubled in pleasure.

That and hire some freaking help.

There it is...the big secret/s...

Get a business line. You don't need another cell phone. http://www.ringcentral.com/

Hire some help. Hire someone to do whatever it is you hate doing. Hire someone to run the "office". Someone to handle placing orders, someone to handle phone calls to vendors and support departments so you dont have to waste a whole day.

Yeah and then 2 years later when you break up, your most valuable employee leaves. Finding couples that work well together is a very rare thing. NO WAY would i attempt it with a new girlfriend.

Dude, isn't that what phone.com or google voice is for?
Weren't you the one telling me about setting schedules for when phone rings vs. when it goes to voicemail?

On a related note, I took a call @20:06 this evening that lasted for 41 minutes from a guy that wants to get few surround speakers and maybe do a full 5 speaker setup. His total budget is around $1,000. :-)

Wrapped this project up. Just your average 12 zone Zektor/Totem/AudioControl/JAP/RTI/Engenius deal.

This is really the first project where we spec'd the builders to put large recessed boxes into the wall behind each TV. When you mount the TV's to the cantilever brackets, your able to push the TV back against the wall with almost zero gap. It looks slick with the thinner TV's. This also allows a single person to service anything going on behind a TV if needed.

By the way, this is another floor in the building with "the slide".

Lesson of the day, ask about budget and anticipated costs early in the conversation. You could of had about 38 minutes of your life back. :)

Which backboxes and mounts are you using, or are you having the builder frame out a recess?

We gave them the dimensions and they built the backboxes. Then we used garden variety cantilevers behind each set.
