For those using the 9600 as a "simple" IR remote in a single room setup, is there anything either in the firmware or in ProntoEdit for us? (they haven't added programmability of the jog wheel for example?)

So is that a "NO" to both questions here LowPro?
I am running in RF mode right now, but will be changing over to WiFi... also from before I am not interested in anything to do with Vista... Is there any benefit for me to do the firmware and proedit update..?

These are some of the things that we have been asking for over the years. I'm sure people can add to this list: - remember on/off and other states - variables - fancy animations - pop up menus - toggle between receiver audio and TV audio without having to have multiple copies of devices - change the codes transmited each time you press a button and even change the label on the button accordingly - hide buttons depending on other conditions

Jog wheel control is not in this public release but I for one have requested 2 features as high priority.
1. Downloadable images (don't have to be local to config file). 2. Jog wheel support.
There's also an issue with JavaScript's new Date() functionality that I was hoping to get resolved prior to release but it's currently not possible.
Add this code to a button, download to the config, press the button, and then open diagnostics page. You'll see what I mean.
Diagnostics.log(new Date());
When you look at the log, you will most likely see a bad Day, M,D,Y,H,M,S and TZ.
new Date() in Javascript on the 9600 for this first release is really only useful for calculating time deltas. (difference between now and some time in the past).
I've requested some other System/GUI functions to get at other settings on the 9600 such as language, Timezone, Daylight Savings Active, etc... that are all set on the Control Panel Settings of System Properties. Having access to this data would allow one to build their own Date() objects for uses other than calculating time deltas.
However, please don't dwell on my points above as Peter points out some really cool stuff that we've been wanting to do for years that is now possible on the 9600. This remote now will knock the socks off something like NetRemote.

If so go to the control pannel and under "system" disable as many of the Human Input Devices as you can get away with and then reconnect the 9600 and give it a try. Worked for me last night

Has anyone communication problems after installing the new Pronto software and firmware and extender RFX9600 firmware? The green extender RFX9600 light goes on when pressing a button, that's OK, but the Pronto says 'communication failed' and nothing happens.

When you say human input devices, what do you actually mean by this. Sorry I meant human interface devices. To be honest not sure that this actually means, but if you check out [Link: remotecentral.com] last post page one there is reference to this problem. All I did was a temporary disable of four of the listed HID's and then reconnected the 9600 and tried the download again and it worked. I then re enabled the HID's once I'd downloaded. Maybe someone can give you a more technical answer?

Where in the professional section can you find the doc on ProntoScript?
Is there an additional module you need to download? I can see the new little button in prontopro edit, but no other information?
I am certified level 1 and I have a login into the pro section, but I can't find either the doc or the scritps...
Thx
