I would like to select an MP3 album, that lives on my
NSLU2 running Twonkyvision mediaserver from my remote,
and hit play. It then should play the album om my amplifier
via my Streamium SL300i device. I do not want to switch
on my TV in order to browse the MP3 albums.

Is this too much oo ask for.

Hawk

Hawk, I agree 100% with your comment. I currently have an iPronto running this product http://www.playerpal.com/, take a look. If the TSU 9600 was running Wi-Fi then this could open up a whole load of possibilities. The 9800i was a great concept but zero flexibility, hopefully Philips will have learnt some lessons from than mistake.

Come on Philips give us some more info..... please!!!!

I received this email also. It will be most interesting to learn more about the remote and new extenders as well. Perhaps since the cat is almost out of the bag the ProntoTeam would be at liberty to share more. :-P

From what I've read so far, the new features will bring the Pronto in line with other competitors products - WiFi would have given it an edge...

It's getting better! See the teaser at the Philips Pronto site.

A full VGA resolution screen!

Is that a signal level indicator (Wi-Fi) in the top right of the screen next to the battery indicator??
Could be a IR Icon but why the color graduation??

"The display has a virtually unbreakable protective screen cover that eliminates a potential cause of failure in touchscreen devices."

Somehow I think my clients will find a way to crack it!

It's great they took this into account as we have sent quite a few in for repair over the years.
