I'm not xenophobic I just showed Indigo it's the same out here. I have nothing against immigrants, our peoples are as bad (it's just harder for them to get multiple S.I.N. they would do it if they could) I don't blame the immigrants for all this but I do blame our governement. I have black friends, and I had indians and asian friends when I lived in Banff and they all knew I'm no racist. I blame us (canadians) for not having any childrens, we got to get more immigrants every years and it have to be this way cause we don't make new canadian. And about the religion thing, if we can't put a cross on a wall or have religion class at school why is it accepted with other religions? I just want the rules to be the same for every one. As a mather of a fact everybody should be treated the same without execptions. And when I talked about those "reasonable accomodation" we had a commission for that and even a lot of immigrants clearly stated that the rules should of been the same for everyone. I hate racism, just because I showed someone it's not different in our Country does'nt mean I blame immigrants or other religion.
Take a deep breath I'm no racist or xenophobic.
geez!

About the 5-6 welfare checks, we can only blame our system. Lots of canadians would of done it if they could but it kind of make me mad that some get 3000$+ a month for doing nothing. (this is no fairy tales I've seen a documentary 1 yr ago)

Well said Tiger.

I decided not go work today, today is Good Friday. This is the a reason I decided not to work. Last week, I went to pick up my son at a Day Schhool (3 y/o); one of the staff gave me a flyer - the upcoming event "Spring Eggs Hunting" on Friday.

For crying out loud!!! We cannot even teach our kids how to call a religous holiday properly anymore.

For a short note, I'd give Michael Moore a free ride, free settlement in Garza Strip any given moment.

Wow, this sure got off topic. Please keep your options on religion, immigrants, welfare, and comments about other races to yourself. Chad

You are so right, we got way off the track.
The remote will come to the post office in tuesday I think, and I will return it. I disputed the charge on my credit card and I'm waiting on a response.
Thanks to everyone who helped me,
Gui.

The Canadian Dollar did not get stronger. The American dollar has just weakened significantly. You should look at the history of your Canadian dollar to something more stable. In fact your Canadian dollar will get pulled down with the American dollar.

You really appeared to be just trying to save a buck and you got burnt.

I second what Rarebird says, but if you want to start a big hate/ignorance thread, that's your choice.

| tiger-qc, any shred of sympathy I had for you and your
remote dilemma just went out the door. Perhaps you and
Indigo can go find an island somewhere where you two can
start a brand new racist xenophobic society where the
price of remotes is more reasonable.

What did he say that was racist? Just because it is a fact, doesn't make it racist. Saying blacks commit x% of crimes is not racist, it is fact. Saying they commit crimes because they are black is racist. There is a difference.

As for kicking any form of Christianity out of public schools/buildings, but allowing other religions to do what they please because they risk pissing them off and being labelled anti-muslim/anti-semetic, its just wrong. Either any are in, or all are out. One day the Christians are going to stand up and its going to be ugly.

BTW, I forgot to comment on your speculation that you were planning on not going through with your purchase of the MRF-350. You have absolutely no leg to stand on there. The guy who sold you the MRF-350 didn't do anything wrong - why should he let you back out of the transaction? You may have a (somewhat dubious) argument that the MX-980 guy screwed you a bit, but you really have to man up and follow through on the MRF-350 purchase. Bite the bullet and re-sell it on eBay for a loss if you need to.

However, I think you should keep it - URC makes the best remotes out there and you'll eventually be able to get a 980 with software from somewhere.

I'm going to refuse the remote, I already have the MRF-350 (2 days ago).
As soon as this battle with me and the ebay seller end, I'll be seeking for URC MX products again maybe the 900, 950 or 980 who knows. I'm now well inform about URC policies and the authorized dealers, so thanks to all you I won't get screwed up by one of those seller. (who should'nt be selling URC products)
I just wait to get my money back before re-spending it.
Hopes this answered
Thanks,
Gui.

I still contend if the e-bay seller was decent he would have accepted the remote back minus some charges.

BUT,

The fact that he didn't, is because as far as the listing goes, he isn't wrong. He sold a REMOTE. Nothing else. The fact that it requires software to program it isn't his problem. I don't believe the seller tried to pass himself off as a dealer of the product, he is just an e-bayer that sells a variety of junk. If the software was included, it would have been in the listing.
I think tiger is going to find himself answering a lot of questions and wasting a lot of time dealing with this, it doesn't sound like the seller is going to be very happy having the charges reversed. And I would guess he will file all this with both e-bay and paypal. (he has to if he hopes to get his listing fees back)
You have cost him a sale, postage and now an amount of his time to deal with this.
He has a right to be annoyed.
tiger should have talked with some of the people that offered to help him with either programming or getting him the software, it would have been easier to keep the remote, after all, in the end you did get a very good deal on it.
And now your talking about annoying another seller buy returning the RF kit. Your not going to find yourself having an easy time buying anything else on e-bay after all this.

I am keeping the MRF-350 I just want to get the remote back I though because the sellers sold me something that can't be used I had the right to return it. The more this thread the more confused I get... I already call my credit card company and explain them my situation and they will get back to me.

I'm a future owner of an MX remote for sure, I got my MRF-350 already. Will it be this MX-980 or a 900, 950 or another 980, that's what I'm going to find out... My options still open I don't have the remote yet. If I have to keep the remote I'll get it program.
I'm so confused,
thanks,
Gui.

Tiger,

My vote here is that you keep the remote. Someone here, and I think they already have, will offer you the software. Just because you can return it doesn't mean you should.

Instead, leave detailed feedback on the seller's profile. If it were me, I would rate it as a Neutral and explain that he did not provide software.

Please note there is a ton of Crestron gear on ebay and none of it comes with software and there are no issues with those transactions.

Same thing with AMX, lots of older AMX available on e-bay, no software. Sellers offer what they have, buyers purchase because they know what they are getting.
