Strengths:Works all devices, nice blue backup light, Do not need to point at the device while in the same room to get it working with the help of the pod, has the time on it and display also allows you to know what device it is working.
Weaknesses:Rf signal does not work in another room separated by a wall. Remote is clunking, could have been slimmed down with bigger buttons. Some operations for the receiver could not be learned onto the new remote.
Review:Worked all right. At this price I wished it would have functioned better though. Rf signal weak.

Strengths:Controls eight conponents
Many keys's functions can be "replaced" by functions from other keys from any componentr
Home Theater function combines eight units
Good RF Strength
Good ergonomics
Weaknesses:A bit large for one hand
Good but not great manual
Could use more programable macro keys
Review:This remote controls my 8 components including satellite, TV, 2 amps, tape, cd, DVD, VCR. In the Home Theater mode, I can program it (replacing certain button functions with others) to use amp volume, satellite channel changing, satellite menu functions. In TV mode, (similar with other components) you can reprogram it to operate the TV in most respects, but use the amp volume. Its very flexible. I use the RF function to operate a remote TV satellite control in the basement, with the RF unit in the den on the ground floor, duck soup simple installation, perfect RF reception. Ergonomics ok, but it could be sleeker, its a bit unwieldy. Functions for 6 keys in each component mode can be "learned" using beaming from other remotes. Price is right. You can "feel" everything, hardly a need to look, unlike screen driven remotes that are not ergonomically driven. Every unit had preprogrammed codes for easy setup. Good instructions. More options, some I don't use, such as preprogrammed timed sequences for auto-VCR recording, etc.

Strengths:I read other reveiws on this remote and it's like I have a different one. The RF range on mine is awsome. It controled my Stereo from out in the street 150 feet away flawlessly. It worked everywhere in my home and even from outside. It's great
Weaknesses:I couldn't get it to control my x10. I will call the factory for help on that
Review:The best I've ever seen. I showed it to 2 freinds and they each ordered 2. It works great.

Strengths:- LCD display - nice to "see" what mode you're when operating multiple devices.

- Directions better than average.
Weaknesses:- RF strength: very dissapointing signal strength.
Review:I've "just" purchased this unit and spent the last two hrs. trying to figure out why one story above the receiver, I have use a spray "point & press" technique to finally get a resonse.

I'm sure under controlled lab conditions it might achieve what they claim. But in reality, it's 25 feet at best.

For the dollars, I could not recommend this product.

Strengths:RF to IR transmitter is slick
Weaknesses:Ability to control devices, update, and lack of customer support.
Review:I have had the remote for around 1.5 months. It did not have a code for the Playstation 2, however, I was informed that I could send it in to get to programmed. Well, I got around to sending it in and they tell me that it cannot and will never be able to control the Playstation 2 - even with the learning functions (BTW - yes, I have the IR reciever attached to my Playstation 2 along with a remote that work). I complained to customer support, they told me tough luck.

Strengths:Back lite has a superb colour, great arougonomics, sturdy build and navigation is comfy. Like the idea of the macros and shift key.
Weaknesses:Doesn't support any of my a/v units with standby. If any can help me with that email me at [email protected]
IR weakness was disapointing. Had to return my first package because I changed 2 sets of batteries in the first 4 weeks.
I now keep the "lite" off to conserve battery power. Theatre mode doesn't seem to work the way it should......claims low memory.
Review:Overall, I am happy (So is my wife) for the remote control that didn't break the bank. I think it has done more good than bad for us. I am currently finding ways to overcome some of the shortcomings. I will keep my remote.

Strengths:- very user friendly
- controls everything, which is nice because it keeps the wife happy that there is only 1 remote for everything
- lighted key pad
Weaknesses:- changing the batteries, if anyone knows how to do this with out losing everything email me at [email protected]
- the macros (assuming that i am using them to power them on and off my components)don't work with my reciever because they have seperate power on & power off buttons.
- learning features don't work with the macros. (tried setting the power on/off to these and then using the macro to power everything on, but doesn't work)
Review:- i am very happy with the remote (keeps the wife happy)
