I came into possession of an old, vintage Kyocera hifi amplifier from the late 80's that I have a remote for. I would like a second remote. However, these amplifiers are so rare, that no remote codes exist for this manufacturer at all online or in any programmable remote. I wish there were places that I could upload codes to if I knew that its functions could start being included in the programming of new programmable remotes. I wouldn't know how to learn what these codes are though in the first place.

This remote has functionality over several inputs, including phono. Toggling to each input requires hitting a separate button to toggle to it. Phono, Tuner, CD, tape, and AV/AUX.

Then the remote has basic abilities for each input
Tuner: change radio channels, toggle between am/fm
CD: play, stop, pause, fast forward/back, skip forward/back.
Tape: Play, record, stop, pause

Then general system-wide settings such as Power on/off, volume up/down, and mute.

What may be the best remote for this scenario? And is there an organization that new remote codes could be submitted to that would allow new manufactured remotes to start including codes for Kyocera?

The system is also hooked up to a Vizio TV, so maybe having the option to turn the TV on and off, in addition to the Receiver's power could be welcome.

I imagine there is no way to program a chromecast remote to learn the volume and mute functions of the Kyocera receiver, would that be right?
