Looking for some guidance on this one...

As has been noted, these models does not use Simple IP Control and, apparently, does not respond to normal Sony discrete IR commands.

I am trying to control this TV from an Elan control system. Their supported Sony IP driver doesn't work because it uses Simple IP Control.

I have looked through some documentation for IP control of this line and am able to use the application that Sony has on their website. I have also looked at trying to use Wireshark to see if I can capture the commands. I am trying to write some simple commands to turn on/off the TV and make sure it's on the correct input. The documentation says it uses REST API. From Sony: REST API uses JSON-RPC over HTTP. I am trying to see if I can emulate the commands from something like PuTTY before attempting to control from Elan. I did some searching to see what port REST uses. I got a few different results.

Can anyone help guide me in the right direction and, maybe, keep me from spinning my wheels more than necessary?

Thanks

Update:

I figured out that the Sony TV driver from Intrinsic Dev is able to control this TV without needing Simple IP Control.

I am still interested in learning about the control protocol but have my issue resolved for this project.

The playful nature of the game Fall Guys encourages players to laugh at their adventures and celebrate their victories, creating a rare positive gaming environment in a world where online multiplayer can often be stressful.
