Can these be controlled via serial string using tcp/ip client on correct port?

I saw some posts suggesting HTTPS is required along with token authentications and JSON etc etc.

Im NOT trying to get that involved, especially when there is no solid documentation available.

So my next thought is to consider rs232, but the BE65T-H docs say it only has rj45 for control. I’m assuming I’ll have to get a usb to ex-link adapter, but the documentation doesn’t confirm this, nor does it specify the model number to request from the vendor.

The user can access additional virtual keys on the TV screen by clicking the "123" key.The 123 Button is how you bring up the keypad for any typing. For instance, I have DirecTV and when I want to select a channel, I press the 123 button then use the directional pad to select the appropriate channel then hit enter. Then it will input the selection.
