Besides the other updates from the "S" model e.g. more memory, I assume the "V" of the 8V is because of the video out port.  But what comes out of that port?  What's it used for?  I'm new to RTI and was thinking of picking up a XP-8S to play with and model my clients system on, but wondered what that HDMI out gives me, what I'd be missing.

An on-screen interface that you can control with a basic remote like a SurfIr, similar to Control4's setup.
