I'm programming a T2-Cs for a client and would like to have the home button serve two functions:
1. act as a "back" button (or assign a page) 2. when held down for 4 seconds go back to the "home screen"
I've but the button in stand-alone and assigned a "Button Test" in the macro.
What happens when you single click the button it flashes to the previous page and then goes back to the home page.
Is what trying to program on the home button possible on the T2-Cs?
(by the way the reason I'd like the home button to act as a "back" button is becasue there's really no room on the screen for a button on every page like I do with the T2-C. If you've a suggestion to get around that I'd like to hear it!)

Does it work in your emulator? I can do it through mine.
If button is held down for .4 secs then -change page to home else -change page to previous
Once and a while I'll put a button test on the home button because the customer couldn't get it out of their thick skulls that you can't push the home button to turn the screen back on (I think it's a natural reaction). So a delay would activate the screen but not change the page. The problem is when they have guests over using the system they may not know they need to hold the button for that extra fraction of a second. But in your case it should be fine so long as you don't use please wait pages. If you do, you have to use this macro in selective situations.

Hmmm, I am using a please wait page w/flags for TV and DVD. Perhaps that's why it's not working...
The please wait doesn't work as well as on the T2-C either...

My Please wait animation wouldn't work either until I discovered after farting around with my T2cz that the firmware was outdated and RTI tech Support told me that should fix it. It did.

Good to hear.
How do I update firmware on RTI? UNI is easy, but I've never done it with RTI - Do I need the devise connected to upgrade or can I upgrade to the systme file and upgrade the devise when on site??

Do you still have the Home page assigned to the button outside the macro?
