Hey fellas,

I'm hooking up a HR21 to an xp8 via a ATEN usb to DB9 adapter. Using the codes from the RT232 database. I'm not getting any response from the HR21. Does anyone know if something has to be setup somewhere in the HR21 menu? I tried straight through and null modem using pins 2/3/5 on the db9 to pins 5/6/4 on the rj45.

TIA

Reset the reciever from the front (red button) with the adapter and connection made to the XP8. It needs to see it when it is booting to allow RS232 control. Report back if that doesn't work.

Yes, 9600, 8 data, 1 stop. no handshaking

I'm using the strings from the RTI library. They look nothing like what's in the DTV protocol sheet. ???

Null modem required.

Change all the codes in the RTI database to hex.
