I am replacing a sony a/v with a new sony a/v model STR-DN1080. On my old unit I had a Tape Out Left and Right which I had connected to Sonance audio distribution system to speakers in outher parts of the house and pool area.
I have contacted Sony and told me to use zone 2. That did not work.
Can anyone tell me how to get an output like a tape out from this a/v>

Zone 2 sounds like the right answer, so would you elaborate?

Frinstance,
Zone 2 did not work because I got no audio.
Zone 2 did not work right because I split the audio signal to six amps and it reduced to an unusable level.
Zone 2 did not work because ________________________________.
Zone 2 did not work like I thought it should, which would be ____________________.
Zone 2 was distorted.
Zone 2 has volume control, which TAPE OUT never has, and I didn't figure out how to use it properly.

Or whatever the details were.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
