I read in Home Theater Magazine that the new Sony Wega sets will have a feature which will allow better viewing of letterboxed (wide screen) format input. These sets are reported to be released late this summer. Does anyone know more about this and is it worth waiting for if you are in the market for a Wega set.

well I have always been a fan of Sony products but I believe the new Panasonic TAU TV's just released here in Australia are a better buy..for one they are 100hz. I don't exactly know much about the technical specs of the TV's in the US but I would seriously consider other options.
By the way, what is it with the Silver Bezels these days on the flat screen TV's..? As for the letterbox feature; I can not imagine what they could do to enhance the picture except by releasing it as 16x9?
