So I have a Sony KD-55XH9505 TV, with a Bluetooth remote. In the two years I've had the TV, I could reach my TV from just about any position in my small apartment, just by simply pointing it in the direction of my TV. I didn't even have to point it, in the living room.
That has stopped now. Even 3m/9feet from my TV, pointing the remote at my TV, it only works half the time. So I ordered a new, similar model of the remote, and the problem is still there. It actually works worse, than the worse IR remotes on the market.
Any idea what could cause this? Maybe I by chance enabled a TV demonstration mode for Sony TVs, so that the resellers in stores don't by chance turn on/off many TVs at once, when demonstrating a TV?

It sounds like something is either interfering with the Bluetooth signal near the set or the Bluetooth receiver unit is going out inside the set.
Check to see what other wireless devices are powered on a nd near the TV. Try turning them off/moving them away and see if that fixes the issue.
