i have a sony str-de898 receiver and have misplaced the remote. The remote is an rm-aal001 and since i cant find it i cant learn the codes with my rti ir pro. Hoping someone out there can help me out. maybe someone knows if another sony remote is compatible?

What other remotes you have access to, maybe a cable remote? see if it takes code 31758(1758). Which might get you access to these advanced codes: [Link: remotecentral.com]Or look for RCA RCRPO5BR universal remote.
