I've set this up to work with a sony vcr (slv-n71) with the appropriate code from the manual for a vcr and everything works but there is no clear function/button to clear the display timer or recordings set up in the menu
(i've noticed the presets for CD, DVD have a button mapped for clearing information from the screen though so this seems strange)
