Just got this player and can't find any explanation of the actual function of the remote's "Color Buttons (Yellow/Blue/Red/Green)" other than the description "Shortcut keys for interactive functions." A search of the pdf version of the manual finds no other reference and, so far, no luck with Google.
Pressing any of the 4 keys definitely outputs IR signal but nothing happens that I can see.
Any light on the subject will be greatly appreciated.
FWIW: Sony seems to have done an excellent job with this entry level Internet capable player. My up sampled DVDs are very impressive. I haven't received a Blu-ray from Netflix yet so I can't comment about that. The streamed Netflix movies I've tried are as good as my DVD player. Set up was a breeze with absolutely no network problems whatsoever.

Thank you 3FG. The days of really complete Sony manuals seems to be over but, so far, the products still stand proud.
Next Project: Add this unit to my AX4000.
