I currently have a Verizon FIOS, Sharp Aquos TV, Onkyo Receiver and just purchased my Samsung BP1600 Blu Ray player. I like the FIOS remote and anticipated finally consolidating all the remotes onto the FIOS programable remote only to learn that it does not support Blu Ray.
So now I am on the hunt for a new remote, not looking to spend a lot of $. The Sony RM-VL610 looks promising but I have a couple of questions: * Ergonomics of the FIOS remote are pretty good. The all important skip +/-30 sec button is easily accessible, sculpted shape makes it easy to find buttons in the dark. Want to be sure all the important stuff (guide, dvr button, skip, etc) are single button push. * Find I use the red/grn/yel/blu buttons quite a bit on the Blu Ray. Are their buttons available on the sony so these can be accessible in one button push (not a key combo)?
Thanks all for your help!

You might want to read the full review on this site, as it answers your questions and more. But briefly:
1) Those buttons are available, but you should read the review or at least look at the photos for an idea of ergonomics.
2) Those buttons are NOT on the remote. You could re-purpose the A/B/C/D buttons, although Sony has given those keys other functions. (Curious - what do you use those buttons for? I've yet to play a BD that required them or even mentioned them...)
