I have a Sony STR-DE915 receiver & a Universal remote RM-AV3000.

The remote is setup to the correct unit code, and operates many settings. The remote does show the DVD selection button for the AP mode.
However, the remote will NOT select DVD video input. I have to do it by hand. (I don't have the original remote, so I cannot teach it the right codes).

When I go to setup menu, it shows Control-A1, with settings of , and . No sign of any other selection to change Ir settings.

What do I do to get the DVD option to work?

Also, the remote will not select between Sound Modes.

I found that Control-A1 interfered with my VL900 macro. Disconnecting this and then hitting the 0 under AMP selects DVD input on my DB930 receiver.

nope, Control-A1 has no effect that I can detect. No button in AMP activates DVD.

I still don't know what Control-A1 does. Options , , and . Hmmm...

Is your 915 a newer model receiver? Sony's DVD command used to be the same as their LD command, but it was changed a short time ago.
