Got my 3100 today! I tried everything possible to try to make it lock up or lose its memory. I tried several different lenghts of time when changing batteries, every thing from a couple seconds to over an hour. Never lost any programming.
I ried several "problem" components, Marantz (always locks up on 3000) never locked up on 3100. Tried Integra, Krell, Rotel, Sony, Mits, Pioneer, and Dish,
no lock ups on anything! Maybe Sony got this one right.
Built in discrets (code 4106) for Sony TV inputs,
0 for tuner and 7 for video 7(dvi) did not work, 1-6 worked fine.
I'll let ya know what else I find out.

Interesting results.

On my set (KF-60XBR800), 1-6 worked fine, but none of the HD codes (7/8/9) worked for the set's Video 7, and 0 did not work for Tuner.

However, with the RM-AV2500, 0 did indeed work for Tuner, but still no go with 7/8/9.
