Yeah, it locks up randomly. Once it locked on the UPVOLUME key and it crushed my B&W left speaker. Only thing to do is remove batteries and re-put 'em inside, but locking occurs again.
I don't know what to do, if returning, but I'm reading here that many users have similar problem. WHAT CAN I DO, PLEASE HELP ME !!

Lockups on things like the volume key are typically caused by dirty learns. Did you learn your components? Is there any pattern (ie. which keys) cause the remote to lock?

What kind of pre amp/reciever are you using? If it happens to be a Marantz, relearn volume button with a "short burst". Most all others require a "long burst".

why have a nice system if you cant operate it, program the remote the right way the FIRST time!

Yes I learned my Cyrus CD and Cyrus Amp, but actually I made it beep once.
But there is no particular pattern, it locks up really randomly on some commands.

What do you mean by that?

Does it lock up on *all* commands *everywhere* on the remote, or only on learned devices? And how did you learn, by "pressing" or "holding" the button?

I have read on this forum that in order to avoid dirty learns I have to bake it sound up to the 3000th beep. I don't know what that means because when it learns a sinal from another remote it beeps once only.

It means you have to hold the button on the original remote until the 3000 beeps. Dirty learns are usually caused by not doing this, but if this causes a dirty learn, try a short press. One or the other usually works.
