OK. Sigh. So BestBuy had LOST the remote to the Panasonic HDTV we bought so we got a Sony universal remote instead. I finally got it to work but now every time we mute the sound it says MUDO which is Spanish for "mute." And all the menu stuff is in Spanish. How the heck do we get it back to English? Not that Spanish isn't a lovely language, mind you, we just do not happen to speak it.

You will have to go back into the menu, find the language select, and specify English.

You should be able to find it. Look for:

Lengua=language
Inglesa=English
Menu=Menu

You didn't say which model Sony remote you have, but you should be able to access the menu functions with it. If not, you might have to "borrow" a OneForAll 8810W from Walmart, which I think will get you the menu function and select capabilities you need.

That sounds easy enough. I hope it just involves pressing the MENU key on the remote, that's about as technical as I get. Thanks!
