I have a Sony RM-V302 remote and the STR-DE485 and cannot get the remote to work with the unit. The unit did not have a remote with it when I bought it a couple years ago, and just decided to get a remote as I moved my room around. The guys at Best Buy were great and gave me a deal on the remote and said it would work, but I cannot get it to work with this or my DVD player.
Anyone know the code or solution to this?
Thanks, usually the wife bails me out, but she hates this unit cause I play it all the time ;-)

You need to switch codesets the receiver responds to, from AV2 to AV1, see this thread.

A smart man would have went to the internet right away, I waited forever till it drove me nuts, now 5 minutes later, I am sane again!!
