1. When I use the macro sequence, the remote powers on my SONY TV, but then it immediately powers it off. The manual TV power-on works fine, so it appears that the remote is sending a power signal that is too long thereby reversing the toggle it sent.

2. Once the remote is finished powering on the TV and the cable box, I would like it to stay in "cable mode". It always seems to finish in TV mode. I did the macro learning sequence as

TV - Power - Cable - Power

I presume that this would leave the remote in cable mode. Doesn't apprear to have a default mode, so I presumed that my sequence above would leave it in that mode. Is there any way to set a default mode?

Any thoughts?

Feashman,

In case you have not figured this out, and also for others that might have same problem.

1. In order for the macro sequence to correctly turn on/off a Sony TV (or any other Sony units), you should erase the Auto Power On for that Component Select button. After that, use the sequence TV --> Power in the macro just like any other non-Sony devices. See the manual page 27 on how to erase it.

2. The Component Select button always ends the stored macro with that device itself. It's not possible to set the default to another mode. To do this, use the System Control macro (button 1,2,3,4), and end the macro with the device that you choose.

Hope this helps.
