hmmm.

was hoping this forum moved faster. Bought one at circuit city this afternoon....
I supppose I'll keep it for the macro and multi-fucntion capability. But this sucks.

ALL IT DOES FOR MY DENON AVR1802 IS VOLUME AND INPUT SWITCHING. SHould probably return it as salesperson said it would do menus. Of 6 different denon codes, only one code would do basic functions. This is not what i wanted. Anyone near southeast Michigan have a remote I could learn from?

'Tis the season to be away from the computer! :-)

Does Circuit City happen to sell H/K receivers or perhaps have a demo One For All remote you could capture codes off of? While Sony's preprogrammed database is admittedly poor, as a learning and customizable remote the RM-VL600 is top notch in its price range.

I have a question about the VL600. I have a DVR Cable Box. Can you set up the remote to operate the cable box and the DVR under one component, or do you have to use a separate component for the normal cable box buttons, and DVR buttons?

You could use either setup code and learn the other commands, which would at least give you some functionality for each device on one component key.

Generally setting it up as "DVR" should be all you need.

Hi all,

I hope you can help me with this issue, i've been trying to resolve it for sometime and just dunno if it'll work:

I have a Sony HST 190 dual deck cassette player AND
A Onkyo PCS 103 (personal component system, which basically is one of those all in one types with a 6 CD player, Dual Casette Deck and Tuner.

I have lost remotes for both these pieces :(.

Will the Sony Vl 600 universal remote work on BOTH these systems.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
CM.

There are Sony tape deck codes in the vl600 and Onkyo HTIB codes too. I can't say for sure it will work.

I just got my VL600, and it would be the perfect remote if I could do what you did and program the A,B,C buttons to match the SA-8300HD's A,B,C just like you did, but IT WON'T WORK! I was able to program other functions from my SA-8300HD's remote, but not A,B or C. Did you have to do something special?
