I have lost my manual so I cannot answer this for myself. I can press the "DVD" button to turn on my DVD player, but I can't seem to get this same function by pressing the component button for my TV (Hitachi), HD box (Comcast/Motorola), or my receiver (Pioneer...for the next two weeks).

You can either learn a macro command on the component key, or teach the command from the original remote if you have it.

Unless you have discrete commands, meaning it will only turn it on but not off, be sure and use the delay. If you don't, it will turn on or off each time you select that component key.

Click here to get the manual and codes for your Sony RM-AV3100 remote, then click on Get File, and Then Save.
