probably a simple problem but I just am lost with this. I am trying to reprogram my av200 amp button for my new denon reciever...I had a sony reciever on it previously. When I hit commander off+muting all the compnents flash except the TV and the AMP...so when I select either of them I get a beeping sound and I am not able to enter the codes for them. what am I doing wrong? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to clear any learned codes from a component key before you can assign a new component. See page 20 of the manual.
