Hello all,

I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I programmed the remote with 6 devices and only 4 show on the "components" selection page. The "component" page says "/1" to indicate that there is only 1 page but there should be more as I programmed more devices.
In fact this is true for any device that has more text labels but it only shows me one page.

To test out I programmed only 1 device on page two of the PC setup program and then downloaded the config into the remote and as usual it shows no devices and still says that there is only one page. Pressing the "component" button does not cycle through any pages.

Is this a bug is there a global reset or something I can perform?

thanks,
Abid

Ok I feel really dumb after spending all day reading the manuals and everything else I just by accident discovered that in order to select the other "pages" I have to slide my finger across the top of the screen!!!!
Now where the hell is that listed in the manual???

ah well after the pain of programming it all day and this last task working I guess I might actually keep this thing... I was just about the throw it out. I just wished that the darn Prontos would be a little cheaper. Fine next years birthday wish

Enkur,

Actually, it's not that you have to slide your fingers across the top of the screen but you have to touch the number in the upper right to get to the other pages; your slide (which can be assigned to a device function or macro, incidentally) ended with your finger on the number, which is why it worked. This is true as well when a devices has been selected and you want to get to the second and third lines of the user-defined buttons at the bottom of the screen. In that case, the number is just to the left of the top-right button.

But don't feel bad; this device isn't exactly intuitive.

Jeff,

Thanks for that clarification. I think I really lost a lot of hair trying to figure that one detail. I think its really stupid of Sony to not include the entire printed manual and add more details.
Anyways I am enjoying the remote now and have added lots of functionality and also made simplified buttons so my wife can use it with ease. She has really started to enjoy it too.
