Hello,
I just got the remote and I have been reading a lot of the posts to get familiar with it. After being successful with setting up the macros, I ran into one problem that I have been not able to figure out. My remote will turn on my receiver, but it will not turn it off. The H/K receiver remote has separate "on" and "off" buttons.
I see in the instructions on page 110 that there is a on and off buttons under the "power" button. I see that the option exists, but I haven't had any luck figuring it out. Also, I programmed in the only available code into the Sony remote to work the receiver.
Anyone else ran into the same problem? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

The display on page 110 shows what is available on each button key. The on and off display is mainly used for the timer functions, but the on would also be used to show the power on function for Sony components only.

On your HK remote, you say you have separate buttons for on, and off (sometimes called standby).

You will have to learn the off command on an unused key. Then, you can use it to either manually turn off the HK, or put it into a macro with which you will turn off the HK.

This is a common occurrence with receivers (the most common component this happens with) which have separate on/off keys, such as HK, and also Onkyo, and some others. The preprogrammed commands usually only turn the component on, so learning the off command is the only viable solution.

Thanks for the help. I assigned the "Phono" button as the off button for my H/K receiver and I was able to use it in the Macro setup.
