As long as you have the commands on the original remote so you can teach them to the 2100, or as long as the commands are already present in the preset codes you used to set up the components, then you can make a macro to do what you want.
With the 2100, you have 3 system control buttons you can use for macro’s, and you also can make a macro on each of the 12 component buttons. When you make a macro on the component button, you have to hold the button down for 2 seconds for the macro to execute. Also, when you make a macro on a component button, the macro will always end on that particular button, while a system control macro can be made to end up on whatever component you want it to.
For example, a system macro could be programmed as follows:
Commander off/system key
TV key
If you have a dedicated key for SAT, press that, or use the TV input key (as many times as necessary to switch to SAT)
REC key
Key to switch to desired audio channel
SAT key (if you want the final screen to be on the SAT component)
Exit out
If the commands you need are not available on either the original remote or the preprogrammed screens on the 2100, you can use Discrete Codes.
