My Onkyo 535 died and I am replacing it with a Panasonic. How do I change the device code for the DVD player? Will I need to delete and rebuild any macros that have DVD player commands in them?
When I try to change the code for the DVD, I don't even get the 10 key pad up on the LCD..

And exactly what remote are you trying to reprogram?????

If it is an RM-AV3000, if you have learned any commands on the DVD screen, you will have to clear (reset) the screen, and then you can assign the new device code for the Panasonic.

You will probably have to rebuild the macro, unless the new screen has the identical commands in the same positions as the previous screen. You can always try and see if the macro works, but with clearing the screen and reassigning a new component code, you may wind up with different key positions.

It as a 3000. I don't remember modifying any keys on for the DVD player, but you are probably right. It's been almost 2 years since I set everything up. Thanks..
