Hello all,

I am tempted to get the AV2500 to control my A/V receiver, DVD, Tivo, VCR and TV. I know it is probably overkill, but I don't like anything else in that price range.

Unfortunately I am not a remotiphile :-)

Given that Walmart has a low price on the AV3000 and Buy.com has the 2500 for only $10 more, which would you choose and why?

Thanks!

First, read the reviews of both in this forum, if you haven't already done so.

The 3000 will give you somewhat more flexibility, especially in the label area, where you can name the labels on the 3000, and the 2500 doesn't even have labels.

There are a few new features on the 2500, and there may be some new codes available for components, but if your components are recent and fairly common, the 3000 will work as well. Also, you can always learn what you need, if you have the original remotes.

It all depends on your needs and what you want to do with your remote. Bear in mind that Walmart has an excellent return policy, so if you find you don't like the 3000, it is easily returnable and you haven't lost anything.

I currently use the 3000, and given the choice you need to make, I would again choose the 3000.
