just got a used sony av-2100 and i'm having trouble getting it to control most of my devices.
It seems to only work one of my 4 devices power on/off. everything else doesn't respond.
i've tried to use all the codes possible, and even tried searching for unwritten codes one at a time. what is strange is that during the search process for individual codes it found the right code to work each of the devices and could power it on and off while in the search mode, but as soon as i selected the code and tried it normally, the power on or off doesn't work. (even though the tv won't turn on/off, i can still control most of the menu functions)
ive used many different combo remotes before and never had the trouble like this getting it just to work the power. I have a couple of sony components, so i thought this would be a good investment with easy integration, but it isn't looking like it was. what to do?

Being used, I'd suggest doing a full system reset to clear out old programming. See the bottom of [Link: remotecentral.com]
