I just bought the RM-3100AV and so far I love it. I have programmed it to operate all my components. The only draw back that I see is not being able to re-label the function keys on the display to reflect what you taught it to do.
(i.e: re-label ANGLE to BooHoo on the DVD display)

I am not able to make it do a couple of things. I thank you in advance for your help.

Here is what I want to do. I want to press the DVD button on the 3100 remote and have it:

TURN ON the DVD player
CHANGE the TV input to DVD
CHANGE the AUDIO to DVD on the sony reciver.

These are the components that I have:
Sony HT-6600DP Home Theather with 5 DVD changer
Sony PFM-42V1 42 in. Flat Panel Television
Panasonic DMR-E80H DVD

Also if anyone knows how I can make all the components turn on when I press SYSTEM 3 on the remote that would be great. At the moment only the TV and the DVD player turn on. The Receiver does not turn on and I have to turn it on by selecting AMP and then hitting the power switch.

Thanks,

Teaman

I am including some links below which will help you do this, and also may clear up some other problems.

The link on How to label, change or hide buttons will tell you how to change the component name. It is the 5th paragraph down. I was going to repeat it here but it is very long, so you can go to the link

The reason your receiver won’t turn on is because it is still in AV2 mode. The link below will tell you about that.

If you want to make a macro on the DVD button: (Macros made on buttons or labels will always end up on that button, no matter which device is pressed last, while macros made on system control keys or labels will end up on the last device pressed)
Commander off/muting
System
Press the DVD (or whichever) button
Press DVD again
Select either Power On or Play (either will turn the DVD on)
Press the TV button
Press the button which changes the input to DVD
Press the AMP button (or wherever your receiver is)
Press the button to change the audio
Exit

These threads will answer your questions, and others which may arise.
