Ok, I've had this thing now for two hours and I can't figure out have to program a macro function to hold down a command for 2 seconds(to switch my receiver from sat to DVD).

Also, What would be the best method of changing the bass and treb. if the origional remote has to go thru the menu to do it. Would I rec a micro macro for that(not that I know how to do that)???

Thanks much,
Andy

Why do you have to hold down the command for two seconds? What make and model receiver is this?

There is no way to hold down a command for two seconds. You can extend the time between commands, but you cannot make a command last for two seconds.

If there is no key on the original remote, you will have to go through the menu process in your macro. You would not need to make a micro-macro because you can make a normal macro to do this.

To make a macro:
Commander off/muting
Press system key
Select system key to use (either the 1-3 keys or the rectangular label keys)
Press system control button or component button
Select the component (receiver, for example)
Press the keys you want in your macro
If there is a key on another component you need, press that component
Press keys needed
If you want to end up on the receiver screen, press the receiver component button again
When finished, press Commander Off

It's a Philips FR 968. On my remote, if you press the component key you can control it, but you have to hold the key down to have the receiver switch to that device.

I have the same problem with powering up the receiver...To wake up my unit I need to hold down one of the component keys.

It might be just the reason I need to order that Denon 4803 I've been wanting!!!

Thanks for your help
Andy
