I hope someone here can help me out on this one. I have the above mentioned receiver and recently it seems that one of my front speaker channels (A channel) is no longer working. I need to switch the receiver to speaker B but there is no function on the front of the receiver to do this. The button only exists on the denon remote, anyone know of any way I can switch these speakers using the vl-900?

Thanks

If you do not have the Denon remote, and none of the VL900's Denon codes/buttons will do anything (and I suspect they wouldn't), then there's not much you can do with just the VL900.

You may need to buy an inexpensive remote that supports advanced codes (like a One For All or Radio Shack) merely to correct that issue.

On all the current ofa/rs remotes, the denon codes no longer accept advanced codes, you need an older remote with codes 0004 or 0160 on board. You might be lucky to found a radio shack with 15-2103,$10, it has the codes. Looks like the advanced code is 117 using 0160 setup code,
