I am new here - great forum! I just got my 3100 yesterday for my birthday and love it!
Something I have seen that everyone is excited about is the ability to program 4 functions to a single button. Not sure what this would be used for or how this would come in handy.
Any enlightenment would be appreciated!

Micro macros. Short repetitive sequences, say switch inputs on the receiver & TV at the same time.
If you don't have a use for them, you don't have a use for them. :-)

Thanks Daniel,
I am just trying to figure out all the cool stuff I can do with my new remote. I understand now what the micro macro will allow me to do.
Thanks!

It's sort of exactly the same as the 4-step key macro function, but instead of using commands already on the remote you learn new ones. Useful in some situations.
