Just got my AV2000 and I think I'm very disappointed. I have a complete sony system with a GX700ES receiver (predecessor to GA80ES) On my original remote when I press TV, the TV came one, the amp came and both were set to TV input. When I press VCR1, the amp and vcr come on and the input is setup to VCR on the amp and video1 on the TV. I think this is standard on all SONY systems. I can't get the av2000 to do that! Following the instructions on page 25 I can get the AUDIO commands to work But the Video commands give me the NG and beeps... Can anyone help??? I even tried to get the system control buttons but all I get is NG The remote is wiped clean, its all set to defaults... Can the Marantz do these functions?
Thanks for any help Ziad

I am having the exact same problem. I am using the STRDA-50ES and cannot program the VCR1-3 to change my receiver inputs. All the others seem to work. I have callled Sony on this, and they are suppose to call me back. I will let you know if I get any help from them.

Well Sony called me back today, and told me basically that the remote that comes with the STR-DA50ES sends out frequencies that are to high for the RM-AV2000 to learn. In short they told me I was screwed, and that it would be noted by Sony, and forwarded to engineers.
So if anyone else has had this problem, your basically out of luck. The RM-AV2000 is still a very good remote, and I will probably keep it since the remote that comes with STR-DA50ES is worthless.
