I see that you can change the mode to Power-on for certain components, is there similar access to the power-off that comes stock with System3?

I deleted system3 because I only have a few sony components and didn't like all the beeping and waiting...but now I would like to send a discrete power-off (w/out buying the RS remote) instead of a discrete on, then off...if it's possible....

Thanks

What brand components do you have? The discrete power off and power on only applies to Sony components.

System 1 is the discrete power off button, System 3 is the discrete power on button.

You can turn off the beep if it bothers you.

I have all Sony (but one component), but I don't want all of the remote's Sony power-off components to trigger when pushing system3.. There is no need to turn of the VCR, DVD2, Sat, CD when I don't have them.

Can I access the power-off like I can the power-on?

No, not for individual components without using another remote and discrete codes.

Click here to learn about discrete codes.

Thanks Ron. I was afraid I would have to use discrete codes.

You can teach the 3000 the "system off" command from your reciever remote, it does the same thing as the 3000 #3 system off but it only beeps once, it is a long signal also.

why have a nice system if you cant operate it, program the remote the right way the FIRST time!
